Beginner 3 – 5 years
Goal: To become comfortable in water, elementary backstroke, safe place to breath.
This is a basic swim foundations class. In this class children will learn how to become comfortable in the water and to aleve any fear or anxiety they may have while in or around water. Students will learn the basics of breath control, how to roll from belly to back to get fresh air, self-propulsion using kicks, elementary backstroke, and how to get to safety should they fall in the water.
2 Week Session: 30 minute class every day Monday - Thursday for 2 weeks
New session start every Monday
When a child is in the water with the same instructor day after day it accelerates the learning process. We strongly recommend 2 week sessions for children that are still learning how to be safe in the water. Then follow up with a weekly class to continue progress into a safe & confident swimmer.
